I’m Tevy Khou (she/they) — an illustrator, designer, and art director who moves between drawing, animation, and visual design as different ways of telling stories. Illustration is where my voice lives most naturally, but the language of motion, composition, and design shapes how I build every image, whether it unfolds in a single frame or across a sequence.
My work is rooted in the emotional grit of comics, the rhythm of animation, and the clarity of design. Influences from 80s manga, action cinema, and underground subcultures drift through my lines and characters, guiding the atmosphere of the worlds I create. I’m drawn to stories about identity, queerness, and the experiences of marginalized communities—stories that echo the ones I searched for growing up.
Across mediums, I try to craft visuals that feel lived-in and cinematic, charged with mood and intent. My practice is multidisciplinary, but my goal is constant: to create work that gives space to underrepresented voices, captures the complexity of personal narrative, and invites viewers into worlds shaped by memory, culture, and imagination.
Pizza Box Resume
Oh good you're still here. My in person interviews and portfolio reviews involve a pizza box showing my skills rather than me just talking about it. Inside is a menu style resume and the box itself is a proto-product design made up with my illustrations and designs.
